Martyrs of Ebsdorf Roman Catholic Martyrs. A group of four bishops, eleven noblemen, and companions led by St. Bruno. They were slain by Norsemen while serving in the army of King Louis III of France. These martyrs died at Luneberg Heath, at Ebsdorf, Saxony, in modem Germany, repelling the Norse assault.
