SAINT OF THE DAY SEPTEMBER 14, ST. ALBERT, PATRIARCH OF JERUSALEM
Albert was a man famous for his wisdom. After serving as Bishop of Vercelli, he became the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem. He reformed the Carmelite Rule. He was killed in an act of vengeance by the Master of the Hospital of the Holy Spirit, whom he had removed for immoral conduct.
