ST. SOTERA,VIRGIN AND MARTYR ON THE VIA APPIA-Young and of noble family, but humble spirit, she dedicated herself to works of charity. She was arrested in 304 during the persecutions unleashed by the Emperor Diocletian. She faced her torturers with courage, and still refusing to deny the faith, she was beheaded.
