Saints Nov. 24 Martyrs of Vietnam, Several Roman Catholic groups of martyrs also called the Martyrs of Annam who were slain for the faith in Vietnam from 1798 until 1861.NOV. 24 St. Flora & Mary, Roman Catholic women and Martyrs at Cordoba, Spain. They surrendered to Muslim authorities and were placed in a brothel. Still clinging to the faith, Flora and Mary were beheaded. Nov. 24 Bl. Maria Anna Sala, Roman Catholic Nun. Saint Nicholas Owen - Independent Catholic News : Jesuit lay-brother, martyr. There is no record of his family, birthplace, date of birth, or baptism. Nicholas had been a servant of the Society of Jesus and joined the order around 1580. At the execution of St Edmund Campion he openly declared him innocent and was imprisoned. After his release he served the priests Henry Garnett and John Gerard for eighteen years. He was captured again with with Fr John, escaped from the Tower, and helped the escape of Father Gerard.

Bl. Thomas Alfield, Roman Catholic Priest and English Martyr. While raised as an Anglican, he eventually was converted to Catholicism and left England to study for the priesthood at Douai and Reims, France, receiving ordination in 1581. Returning to England, he was soon arrested while handing out copies of the polemic True and Modest Defence by Dr. Allen. Condemned, he was hanged at Tyburn. Feastday July 6
