St. Gwen, Roman Catholic Widowed Martyr. She is sometimes called Blanche, Wenn, or Candida. She was the daughter of a Chieftain, Brychan or Brecknock. Saxon pagans martyred Gwen at Talgrarth Feast day is October 18th.
