St. Aldegunais - Saints



St. Aldegunais, Roman Catholic Virgin and Abbess, Patron of Cancer. A  member of the royal family of the Merovingians she was raised by two saints: St. Walbert and St. Bertila, her parents
She refused offers of marriage from other nobles and received the veil from St. Amandius. She founded a convent and died of cancer at the age of fifty-four. Feastday Jan.30
