15 August - Saint Tarcisio - Independent Catholic News: Tarcisius was a twelve-year-old acolyte who lived in 3rd century Rome during a time of persecution, when Christians gathered in the Catacombs for Mass. Each day a deacon would be sent to the prisons to carry the Eucharist to Christians who had been condemned to death. One day there was no deacon and so Tarcisius was sent.
