ST. MATILDA (MECHTILDE), VIRGIN Nov 19

A Saxon by birth, Mechtilde became a nun at the Benedictine Monastery of Rodersdorf. She later moved to the monastery at Helfta, where she was known for her humility and kindness. In addition to directing the choir, Mechtilde had frequent visions, which were collected in the Book of Special Graces.
