ENGLISH SAINTS January 3 St. Wenog . A Saint of Wales who is mentioned in several liturgical calendars. No other details of his life are extant. St. Finlugh, 6th century. An Irish abbot, the brother of St. Fintan. He trained in Scotland as a disciple of St. Columba and returned to Ireland to become abbot of a monastery in County Deify. St. Fintan, 6th century. Abbot, he is Patron of Doon, in Limerick, Ireland. He was a disciple of St. Comgall, and a well in Limerick is revered in his name
